The Electric Landlady

Host of Wave Generation

More than a DJ, Electric Landlady is a living myth—a beacon of sound, solitude, and the strange magic of the sea.

From her lighthouse pub on the storm-wracked coast, she guides the ghostly pirate radio ships through the darkness. Her electric sounds gliding over the waves and dashing against the breakers, a siren’s call to music lovers weary of algorithms and commercial playlists.

Daily, she’s the publican of a cozy, cluttered tavern that hugs the rocks—a haven for sailors, mystics, misfits, and wanderers. Her familiar, Starburster, perches near the taps, ever watchful. Some say it can predict the next track or the next tide. Nightly, she mixes on vintage gear, her fingers coaxing electricity into story. Her sets are eclectic transmissions: post-punk, new wave, obscure soul, tekfunk, sonic textures, field recordings, and stardust.

Her instruments of sound and vision include wind turbines that hum in harmony with her turntables and a mirrorball that turns slowly at the heart of the lens, sending constellations of light into the night.

Legend has it Mickey Dolenz once happened upon her coastal refuge. Surprised patrons witnessed an epic jukebox battle between the two! No one remembers the wager or recalls the winner, but “I’m a Believer” selects for free on the pub’s Seeburg Sunstar.

So, if you’re lucky—or lost—Electric Landlady might pour you a pint—or play you a song you didn’t know you needed.

She is a light in the darkness that never goes out.
