Host of Psycho Jello Radio

In 1985, Tom Small turned on MTV hoping to see videos of current bands, but instead caught a marathon of “The Monkees”. They were unlike anything he had seen or heard before. The love of that music was a “gateway drug” to the music of the period; 1965-1971. He began his career in radio in 1994 at a local station in North Carolina where he went to school. Over the years that followed, he did everything from hosting sports talk shows in Greensboro, NC and Pittsburgh, PA; to being a morning show host on Long Island, NY. He has served as a news director, election night host, overnight host and more. Disappointed that stations were programmed and he could not spin records of his choice, Small created “Psycho Jello Radio” in 2012. Syndicated twice in over half of the country, his show concentrated on the stories behind the songs, rare versions, outtakes, demos, and stories from the people who created the music to take the listener more inside the music than just simply playing the song could. Now in 2025 he is ready to bring back Psycho Jello Radio, and once again give the listeners more than “Good Times, Great Oldies”. He feels the music is still relevant in today's world. All it needs… is to be heard.
